Summary of Election Issues and Voter Participation since 1997
March 2009 Primary Election
If you have moved, changed your name, or want to change your party, you must re-register to vote.
Did you know that your name can be removed from the Voter Registration Rolls if you have not voted in the last two consecutive FEDERAL elections? You can contact Yavapai County Voter Registration at 639-8100 to confirm your registration. You may pick up voter registration forms at Town Hall, the Camp Verde Library, the Post Office, or at the Yavapai County Verde Valley Annex in Cottonwood, Recorder's Office, 2nd floor.
New Voter Registration Requirements: If this is your first time to register to vote in Arizona or you have moved to another county in Arizona, your voter registration form must also include proof of citizenship or the form will be rejected. If you have an Arizona driver license or non-operating identification license issued after October 1, 1996, this will serve as proof of citizenship. If not, you must attach proof of citizenship to the voter registration form. The following is a list of acceptable documents to establish your citizenship (only one acceptable form is needed to register to vote):
A legible photocopy of a birth certificate that verifies citizenship and supporting legal documentation if the name on the birth certificate is not the same as your current legal name (i.e. a marriage certificate).
A legible photocopy of pertinent pages of a United States passport identifying the applicant.
Presentation to the County Recorder of United States naturalization documents or the number of the certificate of naturalization in the appropriate box on the front of the voter registration form.
The applicant's Bureau of Indian Affairs Card Number, Tribal Treaty Card Number, or Tribal Enrollment Number in the appropriate box on the voter registration form.
A legible photocopy of a driver license or non-operating license from another state within the United States if the license indicates that the applicant has provided satisfactory proof o citizenship.
A legible photocopy of a Tribal certificate of Indian Blood or Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Affidavit of Birth.
