Beginning Monday, May 5, 2008, Johansen Construction, working for Camp Verde Sewer District, will begin work on Montezuma Castle Highway. Crews will be working in the north bound lane from Cliff House Drive north to Hereford Drive. Both north and south bound traffic will be restricted. Traffic restrictions in the construction area will start at 6:30 A.M. until 5:30 P.M. and are expected to last up to three weeks. There will be flag crews on site to assist the flow of traffic in both directions. Please allow for delays, use CAUTION, obey posted speed limits, and follow the direction of the flag crew. The Town of Camp Verde currently has over one hundred miles of road to maintain with a Street Crew of five men. Besides maintaining the roads, they are responsible for doing minor maintenance on their vehicles, trimming trees and bushes that are in the right-of-ways, mowing grasses and weeds that are in the right-of-ways, filling pot holes and various other jobs. When you see them out doing their jobs please be courteous and patient. They are trying to make the roads in Camp Verde safer for all of us.
