The Camp Verde Marshal's employees are committed to the reduction of
crime, resolving community problems, the protection of life and property, and the
preservation of laws, ordinances, and protecting the constitutional rights of all persons
within our jurisdiction.
The Camp Verde Marshal's Office is staffed by thirty-five dedicated
employees, twenty-three of which are state certified peace officers. David R. Smith serves
as the Town Marshal and department head of the Marshal's Office. The organization is
divided into three major components: Operations, Support Services, and Office of the Town
Marshal. Operations responsibilities includes patrol, traffic enforcement, K9 unit, and
the school resource officers. Support Services responsibilities includes the criminal
investigation unit, communications, records, and animal control. The Office of the
Town Marshal responsibilities include professional standards, community resources,
budgeting, planning and research.


The Camp Verde Marshal's Office continually works with the community
to create programs specific to the needs of our community. For additional information,

Community Programs

CVMO's Explorer Color Guard
Young adults ages 14 through 20, interested in the law enforcement
profession can join our Police Explorer Program. You can experience and learn all about
the qualification, discipline, demands, education, and training required to be a law
enforcement officer, while at the same time participate in fun and interesting youth
activities. Contact Sergeant Brian Andrews for additional information.

Anyone interested in joining our volunteer program can
pick up an application at the Marshal's Office. Backgrounds and fingerprints must be
completed before appointment or attendance at any of the training offered to volunteers.

The Town of Camp Verde provides animal control, animal shelter, and
animal adoption services to our citizens. Animal Control is under the direction of the
Camp Verde Marshal's Office.
