NOTICE TO
CONTRACTORS
Effective Immediately
The Town of Camp Verde Building Department would like to inform you that beginning immediately all commercial projects will be required to pay plan review fees at the time of permit application submittal. At time of submittal, the plan review fee will be calculated using the applicant’s valuation listed on the application. During the actual plan review, the reviewer will check the applicant’s valuation against our adopted fee schedule from the Building and Safety Journal using the appropriate formulas. The customer will pay the difference when the permit is picked up.
Please be informed that this is not an increase of the fees currently being charged for permits but rather a procedural change. In lieu of collecting these fees in the final stage of the permit process they will be collected at the beginning.

What Construction Projects Need Building/Zoning Clearance Permits?
Building/Zoning permits are typically required for the following, but this is not a complete list of projects that require permitting:
Permits allow the enforcement of the codes, which have been adopted as law, by the Town. No matter what the specific project may be, the enforcement of codes is for the safety and welfare of the public.
