YOUTH COMMISSION

Youth Commission is being established to transform the community and the youth that live in it. Youth commission members have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in leading meaningful projects and participating in wonderful volunteer services. Along with being heard, the commission will educate the mayor and Town Council, the community, media and staff about critical and emerging issues impacting children, youth and families of the community. The mission is to engage the youth in a positive way and teach them the necessary skills to actively take part in their community

Youth Commission will hold meeting on the Third Thursday of Each Month. Meeting will be held at the Camp Verde Community Center Parks & Recreation Conference Room 310 at 6:00 p.m. All Youth ages 12 to 18 can attend and become a member of the Camp Verde Youth Commission and besides the Business and learning aspect of youth commission, the youth commission members will be able to enjoy the events, trips, & activities first hand. FAMILY FUN NIGHTS & SKATE PARTY

Saturday July 12, 2008 join us at the Heritage pool for our family fun night. The event will be free to all how attend. Hotdogs, sodas, and music will be provided while you swim. Admission to the pool is free and all you children and teens at the skate park can come over and grab a soda and hotdog. The family fun night will run from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

GOLF LESSONS AT BEAVER CREEK GOLF CLUB

The Camp Verde Parks & Recreation and the B C Ranch Golf Resort are proud to announce golf lessons for youth ages 6 to 17. Classes are now being formed for a one week session with the Beaver Creek Golf Pros Chad Seekins and Pete Berbank. Come learn the secret to longer drives, better chips and on the mark putts. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to register. Enrollment is now open until July 24, 2008. Registration is limited,, so reserve your spot today and take the first step to becoming a better golfer.

Sessions will be scheduled at 8:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. for 13 to 17 year olds and 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. for 6 to 12 year olds. Classes will begin Monday July 28, 2008 and end Friday August 1, 2008. To register for golf lessons come into the Camp Verde Parks & Recreation office at 395 S. Main Street. A registration fee of $50 will be taken for the lesson.

Registration
