Verde Community Library
Description:
The Camp Verde Community Library
provides library &
information services for Camp
Verde, Lake Montezuma/Rimrock and the surrounding area. Volunteers perform an
invaluable service to the Library and the community.
The Library provides 30,000 books
and other formats at the library and access to the 31 Yavapai Library Network
libraries and their one million items. Public use computers and programs for
children are popular library services.
Beaver Creek satellite Library
will open in the Summer ‘07 staffed by volunteers. Volunteers also needed to
help with booksales.

Description:The Camp Verde Historical Society is an all volunteer,
non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration, preservation,
reconstruction, and administration of buildings and sites of historical
significance in the CV area The group
collects and makes available historical documents, photos, books and other

1864-1945 for
educational purposes. It restores and preserves the historical buildings in its
care (Clear Creek Church & the Hance House) and encourages the preservation
of other historic sites. Major projects include the Museum, Research Library,
and the

Verde Library Endowment
Description:
The
Camp Verde Community Library Endowment is
dedicated to bringing together people and resources to support the Camp Verde
Library. CVLE supports and promotes a permanent Endowment Fund to accept
contributions and gifts for the long term benefit of the Camp Verde Library. All
contributions to the Endowment Fund exist in perpetuity, a permanent
solution to meeting our community’s needs.
The CVLE Fund operates under the Arizona Community Foundation's 501(c)(3)
IRS tax
exemption status to support
community philanthropy.
The Camp Verde Library Endowment is funded by donations from
individuals and businesses, revenues from the annual Denim and Lace
Auction and Banquet, other fundraising projects, and bequests from wills and
trusts.

Fort
Verde State Historic Park
Description: Fort
Verde State Historic Park is the best preserved example of an Indian Wars period
fort in Arizona. Spanning from 1865 through 1890 Camp Lincoln, Camp Verde, and
finally Fort Verde were home to officers, doctors, families, enlisted men, and
scouts. Fort Verde was the primary base for General George Crook’s U.S. Army
scouts and soldiers.

can assist with visitor services, the gift shop, clerical work, maintenance,
interpretive, educational, and recreational programs. They work on preservation
to aid Park Rangers or the Arizona State Park Curator. There are also

Description: Rainbow
Acres is a non-profit assisted living facility for adults with developmental
disabilities. Community residents who live on the 41 acre property are called
“Ranchers” to denotes that they are individuals of worth. Rainbow Acres
teaches job skills, social standards, and self help methods. Primary emphasis is
on the total-life concept to foster a sense of self-worth. 79 “ranchers”
live family style in this Christian community. Varied activities include
vocational training, choir, Boy Scouts, Special Olympics, and vacations.

Search and Rescue
Description: Verde
Search and Rescue is a non-profit volunteer search unit available to the Yavapai
County Sheriff’s Office to conduct searches when called upon. All posse
members are state certified and trained in various skills according to their
interests and capabilities, including: Ground Trackers (Hikers) 4x4 (off-road
vehicles), mounted (horseback), and swift water rescue. All monies raised
through donations are used to obtain equipment and supplies for rescue
operations and overhead costs of Verde Search and Rescue. Ongoing training
teaches tracking, survival in the wilderness, map, compass, and GPS training,
logistics, communication as well as how to work with others as a team.

Description: Victory
Ranch for Children invites troubled children from all backgrounds into their
family with an opportunity to rebuild their lives so they can join their own
families as strong, confident young men and women. The non-profit mission is to
