Databases & Indexes

The Arizona State Library is now providing us with a great number of information databases on a number of subjects. We still have access to EBSCOHost, Searchasaurus, and First Search. We also have access to a new database called Rosetta Stone which is a system for learning foreign languages. After you click on the link, you may have to enter your zip code. This will take you to the search screen where you may enter a search term or click on the "advanced search" link to get other options. This is a new service from the state library.

EBSCOHost  Full text articles and abstracts from around 700 journals. A wide variety of subjects are covered on a general level.

WorldCat OCLC FirstSearch  A collection of indexes & databases on many topics.

Arizona Statewide Databases  These databases are provided for us with funding from the Maricopa County Library District and Tucson Pima
Public Library, and through a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. They cover many topics on a variety of levels.

Ebooks  Access to electronic books downloadable for a short amount of time

Searchasaurus  A collection of research tools for children.
