LOAN POLICIES

· The Camp Verde Community Library offers books, audio books, videos, periodicals (magazines) and puzzles for check out by registered patrons. Books, audio books and puzzles have a 3 week check out period. They may be renewed once, unless there is a hold on them by another patron. Videos and magazines have a 1 week check out period and may not be renewed. There is a limit of 3 magazines per patron and 3 videos per family at one time. Materials ordered from other libraries may have different loan periods, ranging from 1 week to 3 weeks, depending on those libraries' policies. We encourage patrons to come in as soon as possible after receiving notification of materials that have come in, as the lending libraries will recall their items after a period of time.

· Overdue fines are $ .10 per day per item. Days on which the library is closed count as overdue days, since the book drop is available for use. Note: The fine for overdue videos is $ .50 per day per video. Books or other materials ordered from other libraries have varying fines, and may be as much as $1.00 per day. We strongly suggest that all materials be returned by the due date.

· When fines have accumulated in the amount of $5.00, materials may not be checked out until the fine has been paid. We do not collect fines owed to other libraries but (as a courtesy to them) if charges exceeding $5.00 are owed elsewhere, you will not be permitted to check out materials at the Camp Verde Library until you resolve your account at the other library. Books and other materials that have been lost or badly damaged will be charged to the patron at the current replacement cost, plus a $5.00 processing fee.
